Clinical Psychology For Individuals, Families and Organizations
Course Description
The Master’s in Clinical Psychology trains professional clinical psychologists to reliably conduct diagnosis, prevention, counseling, and treatment for individuals, couples, families, organizations, and communities.
The curriculum covers four areas:

Clinical understanding: theories and methods to assess psychopathology, neuropsychological and cognitive dysfunctions, emotional and relational processes, and group/organizational dynamics.

Clinical intervention: skills in assessment, prevention, counseling, and therapy; ethical and professional issues; interdisciplinary collaboration; teamwork and supervision.

Research in clinical psychology: methodology and techniques to design and evaluate clinical research and interventions.

Interdisciplinary understanding: epistemological framing, professional responsibility, relevant legislation (e.g., separation, divorce, abuse), advanced English (including specialist terminology), and links with anthropology and psychiatry.
Small-group labs and a 20-ECTS supervised Practical Training (TPV) develop hands-on competence in core psychological activities (prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation, support, research). Some courses can be taken in English, and studying abroad is strongly encouraged. Graduation requires a practical skills assessment (PPV) and a final thesis integrating all four areas.
Eligibility

Hold a three-year bachelor’s degree (Laurea triennale).

Have earned at least 88 ECTS in the eight psychology scientific sectors M-PSI/01–M-PSI/08, in line with Europsy and national guidelines
Requirements

English proficiency at B2 level (CEFR).

For non-Italian speakers, Italian proficiency at least B1 (CEFR).

Under Law 163/2021, access to the LM-51 Psychology master’s (qualifying for the psychologist profession) requires 10 ECTS of professionalizing activities completed during the L-24 bachelor’s.

If these 10 ECTS are partially or totally missing, they must be made up as additional internship credits on top of the 120 ECTS of the master’s, per DL 654/2022.
