Course Description

The Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tuscia is designed to train professionals who can integrate mechanical engineering skills within a multidisciplinary and applicative context, covering areas such as materials, new production technologies, energy, and the environment. The program naturally complements the education of graduates from the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.

The program, which is taught entirely in English, consists of a common core that focuses on methodological and conceptual deepening of engineering subjects, building on the foundational knowledge gained during the undergraduate degree. It also offers two specialized tracks:

  • Manufacturing & Design: Focused on the design, production, and monitoring of both individual mechanical components and industrial machinery and plants using advanced design and analysis methods such as FEM, CFD, and CAD.
  • Future Energy: Aimed at providing the tools needed to understand and analyze both traditional and innovative energy conversion systems, such as nuclear fusion and hydrogen-based systems, with particular attention to the design of systems and methods for energy storage and transport.

Students enrolled in the Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering have the opportunity to pursue a double degree with the Polytechnic University of Tirana, enriching their academic experience and global perspective.

Eligibility
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent three-year university diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.

  • Your degree must be recognized as suitable for access to Italian second-cycle engineering programmes (via CIMEA/Declaration of Value or equivalent).

  • Demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level or higher (CEFR), as the programme is delivered entirely in English.

  • Pass a curricular and personal preparation assessment conducted by the Course Council, based on your academic transcript and background in core engineering subjects (mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, design, etc.).

Documents Required
  • Passport

  • Bachelor’s degree certificate (original + certified Italian translation if not in English/French/Spanish), with Apostille or legalization.

  • Transcript of Records (detailed list of courses, ECTS, and grades), similarly legalized/translated.

  • CIMEA Statement of Comparability or Declaration of Value (DoV) issued by the Italian Embassy/Consulate.

  • Proof of English proficiency:

    • B2-level certificate (e.g., IELTS ≥5.5–6.0, TOEFL ≥61–83, Cambridge, PTE) or

    • Medium-of-Instruction letter confirming your degree was taught entirely in English.

  • CV (Europass format preferred) and motivation letter ( required for the curricular evaluation).

  • Enrolment fee payment receipt.
