Course Description

The Master’s Degree in International Management at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is a two-year, English-taught programme offered by the Marco Biagi Department of Economics in Modena. It is a free-access degree course worth 120 CFU, designed for students who want to develop advanced skills in international business, management, economics, data analysis, strategy and innovation.

The programme combines traditional management subjects with quantitative and digital competencies. During the first year, students study internationalisation strategies, organisational design, strategy and innovation, industrial economics and digital platforms, applied econometrics, and statistical learning and prediction from data. Students can also choose between Advanced English and Chinese.

The second year focuses on business intelligence, international business law, B2B relationship management, trade marketing and sales management. Students also complete 9 CFU of elective activities and a substantial 27-CFU dissertation, allowing them to investigate a specific topic in international management or a related business field.

Graduates may pursue careers in multinational companies, international sales and marketing, business development, consulting, management, business intelligence, market analysis, export management and corporate strategy. The degree may also provide a suitable foundation for further academic research or specialised postgraduate studies.

The programme is particularly appropriate for students interested in the internationalisation of companies, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making and strategic management in global markets. Its combination of economics, quantitative analysis, technology and business subjects can be valuable for students seeking careers in international firms or consulting environments.
