Artificial Intelligence Engineering
Course Description
The Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is a two-year, English-taught programme offered by the “Enzo Ferrari” Department of Engineering in Modena. It is a free-access course worth 120 CFU and belongs to the LM-32 Computer Systems Engineering degree class.
The programme focuses on the design, development and application of artificial intelligence systems. Core subjects include:

Students can also select courses related to automotive connectivity, automotive cybersecurity, human–machine interfaces, supply-chain applications of AI and distributed software systems. The programme includes a 9-CFU traineeship or design activity and an 18-CFU final examination.
Graduates may work as AI engineers, machine-learning engineers, data scientists, software engineers, computer-vision specialists, robotics engineers, business-data analysts or AI consultants. Potential sectors include technology, manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, finance, logistics, cybersecurity and research.
The programme is particularly suitable for students with a strong background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or data science who want to specialise in advanced AI systems and their industrial applications. Applicants from economics or business backgrounds would normally need substantial preparation in programming, mathematics, algorithms, statistics and computer systems.
